– The Turin Book Fair ended Monday with a record 168,000 visitors, organizers said.
The 34th edition of Italy’s premier book fair “has been the biggest ever”, said Silvio Viale, president of the association Torino Città per il Libro.
Giulio Biino, president of the Circolo dei Lettori readers’ club, said “we won the wager, not us but the Salone del Libro”.
Visitor numbers had been expected to reach 161,000.
